Delete your account

Permanently remove your NihongoLoop account and app-owned data.

The quickest method is inside the mobile app. You can also request deletion by email if you cannot access the app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete from the app

Open NihongoLoop and sign in.
Open the Profile screen.
Choose Delete account.
Read the confirmation and approve permanent deletion.

Delete without app access

Email support@nihongoloop.com from the address associated with your account and request account deletion. We may ask you to verify account ownership before acting on the request. Do not send your password.

Data removed

Deletion removes the account and app-owned data associated with it, including where applicable:

profile and app settings
learning progress, practice history, streaks, and achievements
voice-attempt transcripts, answer attempts, and quota records
push-notification subscription records
NihongoLoop premium entitlement records associated with the account

Important subscription note

Deleting your NihongoLoop account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription separately in your device’s app-store subscription settings to prevent future renewal charges.

Limited retention

Some minimal records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, resolving disputes, or app-store financial records. Data may also remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups rotate out under normal retention schedules. Such retained data is not used to continue providing the deleted account.
